This version of the game is more focused on working together as a team to create a fun and satisfying fairy tale, as opposed to the (still-often-fun! ) gonzo word association improv and occasionally frustrating competitive elements of the original game. To play this game, you need a copy of Once Upon a Time, a storytelling card game by Andrew Rilstone, James Wallis, and Richard Lambert. This particular variant marries some of the cooperative mechanics of Hanabi to the fairy tale storytelling of Once Upon a Time.
