Shadow & Fae is an old school ruleset that was created with modern gamers in mind while still incorporating elements from retroclone games such as Old School Essentials and Tabletops RPGS to create a balanced set for combat exploration, role-playing and storytelling experiences within the HexCrawl. The system aims to keep play simple clean clear, inviting players into creative solutions presented by their characters' abilities or equipment they acquire during gameplay through an engaging free introductory adventure with accompanying guidebook called "The Bones of Ol" Bill.
