While you plan to digitize it later, the more pressing issue is to transfer the recipes into a new book. This is a Wretched and Alone game based on my experience transferring an old handwritten recipe book into a new handwritten recipe book. After many decades of service, the old family recipe book has begun to, quite literally, fall apart.
