The Nine Systems, an ancient civilization that ruled over a universe for thousands of years before being defeated by otherworldly forces in what was once known as "the end", now rest at the decay and dissolution. The last remnants to survive are immortal beings who have found sanctuary within their own tombs - including those buried deep beneath Mörk Borg's massive fortress, which is protected like a sacred temple against encroaching civilizations seeking eternal life through necromancy or other means of immortality that fall under its jurisdiction as the Ninth System.
