Broken Shore's a tabletop roleplaying game where players take on the persona of Drifteres survivors from an apocalyptic cataclysm in which their world is transformed into "a watery hellscape." Players navigate randomly generated oceans and scavenge for goods, including godshards that are essential to magical abilities. Magic can be dangerous due to laws against it; however, those who risk lives seeking forbidden knowledge may reap great rewards such as power within the cults. The game has a D100 ruleset with spells in addition to exploration mechanics of looting ancient ruins and discovering new islands through hexcrawling journeys across oceans filled with derelicts floating on top
