This description provides the general concept for a run through an escape room scenario based on video game "Escape from Alcatraz." The protagonist has been sentenced by their crimes of murder and arson, but they are determined not be executed until after serving 25 years in prison. During this time frame within jail, one day escapes to reach San Francisco Bay Island as the last survivor - a lighthouse keeper (Karen) who is also on the island for some reason or other at that point in history. The game involves two groups of people playing against each other: those trying not be executed and Karen's group attempting their own escape attempt after 25 years inside, while facing different challenges based off her prison life experiences compared to his previous life as an escaped prisoner from a maximum security cellblock within the Alcatraz institution. There are various obstacles that need overcoming or hiding behind in order for each team/individual player character to reach and successfully navigate their respective goals: escape versus Karen's ultimate goal of surviving on San Francisco Bay Island with her new husband, who is also escaping as well but not because he has committed a crime; both characters must survive the dangers posed by other inmates within Alcatraz prison trying to bring them back down.
