In "Dear Diary," you play TTTRPG protagonist hedgehogs who reminisce about their past on the mainland and how they left it behind in search for safety, comfort, love from a distant island family with whom to build nest at sunrise each morning while playing Cezar CapaCle's The Land Beyond. Emotions Broken Choir evokes include feeling of loneliness as you're not going back home soon (in one playthrough) and the joy brought by having new friends who were willing to accept your past on face value, which is rare in a world that values people for their appearance over true character traits like kindness or humor.
