The game ATOMIC SKIES involves players controlling a squadron of flying jet fighters from parallel Earth who crash onto our world after their transport carrier malfunctioned and phased them into this dimension unexpectedly due to some unknown event or accident that the player is unaware about until it happens. They have been stranded on earth, fighting in an endless war where they must use strategy and resource management skills while battling other military aircrafts with unique abilities like flying through clouds or taking cover behind small terrain features. The game can be played either by having epic dogfights around a kitchen table without much setup time for the environment as long as there is Pop-Cans on it, or alternatively modeling an actual board surface using miniature terrain pieces to create a more realistic war simulation experience where players must carefully plan their attacks and outsmart enemy planes that are also equipped with unique abilities.
