PACTS are powerful magical beings from other dimensions that can form contracts and bonds with humans, granting them access to their vast power. To find a contract broker for these entities (which have unique abilities), characters must embark on dangerous quests through dark tunnels or portals into the domain of an unknown god-like entity known as The Overlord/Lord Tyrant in order to obtain his amulet; those who manage this can negotiate with him and possibly even form their own contracts. Once a contract is formed, it has its price - both for characters themselves (who must make tough decisions) and for the party they are traveling with or working under.
