  Designed to be used at the table to continuously generate the dungeon as its being explored, Beyond the Threshold includes a plethora of variants to create more complex dungeons - such as rules for determining the presence of secret doors and traps, the types of monsters the room might contain, and even the timing for dungeon-events. Relying on a loose definition of dungeon - "any contained adventuring area that is divided into smaller, explorable sections" - the system uses a deck of regular playing cards and a pair of d6*s to generate prompts which can be used to create and populate sprawling dungeon complexes. Beyond the Threshold is a system-agnostic system for generating dungeons of almost any form and size.
