Faux Devil: The Details
A MOSAIC Strict Creature
This cryptid was originally found in the woods of Western Europe. While humanoid, it is merely an animal, albeit one that is happy to accept meat from “worshipers” and make occult-sounding nonsense sounds. Its fans have imported it to the New World, where it has thrived in the deep wildernesses.
This creature appears as a furry horned humanoid. Younger specimens have vestigial wings, which eventually fall off. Faux Devils are three times as strong as the average man, extremely resistant to disease, and able to take twice the punishment of any human before dying.
In contrast, they have an intelligence and social sense on par with a domestic dog, and enjoy making language-like sounds. They are omnivorous but prefer meat, and come to anger slowly.
