Pixels & Platforms: The Platform Crawl RPG
Pixel's and Platform's (PXP) rules are inspired by the tabletop RPG, Laser & Feeling, but with a more complex framework built upon it for platform crawls in 2D retro video games. PXP uses three attributes to emulate gameplay similar to that of classic platformser videogames such as Contra or Super Mario Bros., where each screen is an interactive puzzle-platforming challenge like those found on dungeon levels from vintage 8 and 16 bit era consoles. The game features a Quantumverse setting but can adapt to other settings with minimal modifications, inspired by the worldbuilding in Dungeons & Dragons: it's fantasy kingdom of baking yeast people ruled over by Rat King or Silk Road Arabia (D&Ds Arabian Disco).
