In this dungeon crawl-style adventure roleplaying game players take on roles as adventurers exploring an ancient and mysterious underground realm within their own urban environment in the City of Goo. The city is divided into two main areas; the Goons' Jam, which houses a central hub where various shops sell supplies for surviving inside the tunnels under the building's structure, while deeper down beneath that lies another area called "the Underworld," home to dangerous creatures and ancient treasures from long ago eras in lore-filled dark fantasy. The adventure is designed around three core pillars: combat skills (using weapons), stealth maneuvers using traps as well as pick locks on doors/shops for money & items, or sneaking past guards while avoiding encounters with evil monsters lurking deep within the tunnels under ground level and navigating through dangerous environments filled in hazards such a toxic water to avoid.
