The Rise or Fall of [INSERT NAME HERE] is a storygame for one player. It follows the story of a character — a student at a new high school, a questing knight, a struggling artist, a young child who has found the door to a magic kingdom — with shifting goals and priorities, charting their story towards an uncertain end. A deck of cards is used to provide structure, choice, and chance. Each turn you will get a choice between two cards tied to the character's goals, with the rank of the card compared to the previous card deciding if it signals success or a setback. The game has an optional journaling element.
