I create images of monsters that show both their common perception as well as the questions surrounding their identities and their actions. I create images that ask you to confront the monster and come away with a deeper sense of understanding of yourself. I use my lived experience as a marginalized individual to create images of monsters that echo my experience of existing in a state of flux, where an identity is never truly fixed and is always defined by the dominant power as Other and in opposition to the laws of nature.
