Makapatra or Wakk is Filipino living and writing games about Philippine folklore-inspired mythologies with themes such as violence (colonial angst), big robots/theater RPGs & non-western fantasy settings, his favorite authors being Guy Gavel Kay and Ramon Muzones. He also runs a mech combat game called Maharlika RPG set in the same universe inspired by Filipino culture and mythology; Karandun is an action horror with themes of power gained to make gods bleed while facing oppressive structures (such as tyranny); Sitan Hunters: Cathedral is based on this premise, featuring KaraNduu-inspired warriors. Gubat Banwaa is a fantasy set in the Sword Isles inspired by Southeast Asia's culture and mythologies from early classic times up until colonial era with themes of martial arts combat along with historical events such as battles between kingdoms or heroes seeking power/karma to be given, etc.; All his works were created for fun.
