Signal to Noise
A game played by two players, one acting as the Explorer and the other playing a role of Earth's companion on an interstellar spaceship. It is set in 2023 during human exploration to distant stars with their Generation Fleet spacecrafts that are carrying families from around 10 billion people across multiple solar systems while selecting only 100 individuals for this journey called "Vast." Each player sends messages back and forth, trying to maintain a connection as time lags increase due the interstellar transmission. Eventually one must break contact forever separating them despite having fought hard to keep their bond intact through various events that happen during each round of play with mundane everyday occurrences mixed in along side life-changing experiences like death or divorce which they go on for years before ultimately concluding an inevitable severance between characters forced by time lag as a result.
