Fantasypunk is a narrative game about complex, troubled people who embark on adventures in
fantastical worlds with their friends or against them (party companions). The party consists of
travelers seeking refuge from societal pressures and the consequences they face when caught up in
adventure-seeking quests. Characters are drawn to fantasy settings such as magical kingdoms where
spells can be cast by anyone at least thirteen years old, haunted forests filled with ghosts,
ancient ruins overrun by monsters or hidden cities that offer a chance for players' characters to
find true riches beyond gold and silver coins (stolen from rich adventurers). The game is designed
around the needs of travelers seeking refuge in fantastical worlds. It includes rules specific to
traveling across time/space as well as creating new societies with unique cultures, politics,
religions or even language systems that affect how their people act when they travel through
different spaces and times such as alternate realities where magic can exist alongside technology
without any magical creatures appearing (such as the "Magical Men" from The City of Dreams). - 6
