Whether they be sorcerers, benders, alchemists or some other invention of your choosing all player characters share this ability to shape the elements. The elements can be represented by any variety of cards including traditional playing cards,  though I think lands from Magic or Energy from the Pokemon TCG work best. This game tells the stories of Elementalists, those who can alter and shape the fundamental aspects of the world.
