Tom Moldvay propose en 1986 un clone de ADD1.

Tom Moldvay édita en 1986 un ADD1 "light" sous le nom de Challenges Game System, par le biais de la maison d'édition Challenges TM. La maison d'édition à aussi produit un module : CH 2 - Seren Ironhand mais je n'ai pas réussi à mettre la main sur une version PDF de la chose . Cette reformulation de AD&D1 se permet même quelques innovations et pourrait être considéré comme le tout premier des clones.
