Waiting for Gygax involves playing daring adventurers doing absolutely nothing while exploring parts of an imaginary world where only the brave or foolhardy would venture, trading off who acts as Game Master over course play with dice and narrative prompts that were inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. It is a tabletop roleplaying game set in a tavern dedicated to adventuring parties from its beginnings met there.
