The main character of "Bastard" loves to build things out with his hands but often struggles when it comes time for others in the community or family members to help him finish projects they've started together, and he feels like there's a lot more work left on them than what is being completed. He also experiences constant stress due to working too much at home without anyone else around as well as his own demons that keep him up at night; these problems are compounded by the fact that many people in their community don't want anything but money, and he's constantly trying hard not to be a burden on others so they won't leave. He is also influenced heavily by John Henry Iron (Steel), Ouetsu Nimae from Bleach, who embodies self-improvement with his weapons of war, as well as Senego Muramasas' real world persona - all these influences and more play into the development of this character in "Bastard."
