Escape from the Horde is an adventure module that introduces players to Dungeons & Dragons with basic rules covered as they progress through story points on their journey towards becoming more powerful characters by facing deadly traps such as fire pits, exploding barrels, spiked doors and walls of spikes guarded only by goblins. The dungeon includes a dragon who can take out multiple PCs at once if caught in the room leading up to treasure rooms filled with gold that was taken from previous victims along treacherous paths through caverns hidden beneath levels containing cells where new characters are born or die off while being hunted down like animals, thus requiring players and NPCs alike to band together as allies. The module includes a short summary of D&D rules in the form of an optional rulebook with references for further study at home but is designed primarily online through LibreOffice character sheets that generate random characters once their names are entered on line (substituting "online" means using any computer instead).
