Endeavors in Deep Space Exploration, Vol I is set in deep space monitoring stations located on distant planets or moonlets that have been struck by mysterious phenomena originating from outside their system's range and moving at speeds well above light speed (close to the speed of a high- energy plasma). These fields are not visible except when they illuminate nearby areas in bright bursts, producing "photon rain" effects. The players must investigate three different stations located on planets or moonlets within deep space monitoring systems: Endeavors Observation Satellite 1 ("Endeus"), Station E59 (a new private research station recently acquired by Ophidian Research), and Expedition Outpost 902-A, Moonlet B1S912. As they progress through the adventure across multiple stations in different time zones within their respective deep space monitoring systems, players must solve puzzles that challenge both logic and spatial awareness to gain access or overcome obstacles such as moving barriers and traps designed by Ophidian Research's employees for security reasons. The goal is not just gathering evidence but also understanding what each station was created for before the mysterious field events occurred in a certain timeframe (before March 2023, according to some documents found at Station E59). 4 / 5
