Hero Complex is an action horror tabletop roleplaying game for 2 - 4 people where you play as Recaist who undergoes transformation into monstrous superhumans. The world of Heroes' CompleX contains monsters that use powers to commit acts and betray other humans, forcing the player character (Recaist) to protect those they care about through investigation missions in dangerous areas such as Renegade Realms or Shadow Circles where a negative aspect of Recaists personality must be suppressed. Players will fight against secret organizations who scheme for world domination by using various combat methods like nail-biting, cinematic moment-to-moment battles and escalate the situation to force other factions into action through WAGE WARs that involve player characters working together with secrets they trust each gaining improved cooperative actions but be careful not giving them conflicting goals. The game also requires a Combat Board filled out by players' choices in Moment sequences, as well as dice rolls for various skills like connection formation or corruption to upgrade abilities and gain advantages within the world of Heroes
