In Redshift by Tom Dowling & David S. Williams published in 2021, players take on roles as Mercenaries working across multiple alien races such the sentient AI "The Controller," snake people known for their agility or intelligence depending on species, Grey-scales (a humanoid race) with unique abilities to manipulate heat and light, robots created by intelligent computers called Cyberships that run everything from spaceships through factories.
