We all awoke that night with a shared weight on our hearts, as if our dreaming selves had lost something our minds couldn’t remember and lay inside us, mourning deeply. That lingering melancholy drew us towards Celadus Square, where the emptiness only grew stronger. I didn’t want to face it, didn’t want to feel it, but the gathering crowd confirmed what my dreamself already knew.   St. Adjutor’s Basilica had fallen.
