The Boiling Isles are under attack by an army led by a collector who is using toys and monsters created from their powers for his own gain at great cost to those trapped on them or nearby islands. A group of adventurers must gather resources, save anyone they can find stranded in the area before attacking fort after fortress-style structures controlled by the enemy empire's military forces, with different playstyles encouraged depending upon character choice and preferences such as a stealthy approach for avoiding detection when sneaking around undetected through shadows or being more visible to quickly locate hidden enemies.
