A golem is an animated construct that was traditionally created by Jewish parents to remind their
children about the importance of family and community, as well as how they can protect themselves
from outsiders who may wish them ill or kill others in order for good luck. This story uses a blend
between folklore myths with queer themes involving body image issues while also providing activities
designed specifically for solo readers (or friends) such as guided choices on what to read next
after the book ends and prompts about physical sensations during reading, along with an opportunity
at the end of each chapter or section where players can make decisions regarding who they want their
goleim to be. The result is a story that both explores queer identity while also encouraging readers
(and friends)
