A hexcrawl set on an alien world where magic is real but not for everyone because it's dangerous; there are scholars/cultists/priests who know the secret history of the planet and those looking to discover its secrets, hidden knowledge that can be either good or bad depending upon how you look at things. The system-agnostic hexcrawl involves learning more about what is going on in order for players to uncover new information but also discovering something they may not want known (like a broken piece of Heaven).
