Blades in the Dark is a tabletop role-playing game set on an alternative version of Earth, where sailors band together to fight against eldritch horrors and protect their ships from supernatural threats known as "Blades." In this scenario, Unu's Suspicious Objects has created new character types for use with Blade & Glory. These include Void Chanty fans who coordinate the efforts among a group by singing shanties; Voktaiy are individuals who have been given psychic abilities due to being near death during an event called Cataclysm (see below); and Blades themselves, known as "the Chosen."
