Hero's Journey set in a world plagued by darkness with ancient gods bringing light back into it where princess Shalyn has been captured and needs saved before she is sacrificed at Ardus' hands. You play as an adventurer chosen for this task who must search through underground dungeons to find the eight artifacts, train skills, upgrade weapons/armor, explore Caeuluin's lands while meeting new characters (including a mentor), defeat enemies with spells or by fighting them in hand-to-hand combat and collect items that will aid you on your journey. It is also possible for players to write their own custom campaigns using random tables generated through the book as events take place, creating an immersive gaming experience where they can be part of shaping the world's story along with other participants. The game has a journaling component allowing readers to tell stories in- between gameplay sessions and coop play is also available for two players playing together on their same device or online via platforms such as Roll20 which enables them communicate through chat, text messaging & webcam while they battle monsters within the dungeon simultaneously (adding an extra layer of depth).
