The Broadcast is a story scenario set in totalitarian state where journalists are required to tell the truth while falsifying their broadcasts. It includes instructions on running the game with fake scripts and censorship notes for participants' editing of nightly news broadcast under supervision from censors, as well as an essay about real-world journalism during dictatorship including staff badges, desk placards, and other equipment used by journalists in such situations. The story is told through a series of short paragraphs describing various elements related to the game's fictional broadcasting process that are intended for between 5 - 6 players with minimal ruleset complexity due to its focus on storytelling instead of mechanics or direct conflict resolution mechanisms like dice rolling etc..
