Flight Deck Med Check, also known as eduLARPs (education-focused live action role play), are designed to practice self-advocacy skills and awareness of power dynamics within a healthcare setting for ~10 young adult players without the need for an outside facilitator. The game involves multiple roles that simulate applicants or medics checking in potential personnel on Mars while dealing with medical issues, hopes/fears about missions etc., as well as personal matters affecting one's health care choices and desires to explore these topics through role-playing scenarios within a virtual reality setting facilitated by two experienced facilitators. The game is currently available for free sharing under Creative Commons license CC BY 4.0.
