Walking the Devil-Dog is a short procedure that would fit in any modern fantasy game. One six-sided die and a means of recording numbers are all that is necessary to play with this fragment. It can be used by any number of players, and works in GM-less play. This was designed with the MOSAIC design philosophy in mind. It was created as a submission to the Tiny Library Modern Fantasy Jam in July 2023.Note for solo roleplayers: The rule that triggers golden opportunities calls for 2 or more players. In solo games, try giving the devil-dog a 2-in-6 chance of getting a golden opportunity whenever you successfully oppose it.
