In this PDF, I simplify the essence of some key plate tectonic processes into a 12-word procedure which can create realistic-looking fictional maps in a matter of minutes. If you'd like to create realistic world maps for your fiction but are scared of plate tectonics (or just can't be bothered to spend hours modeling them), this procedure can help you.
