Desperate Measures is a short supplement for Last Fleet which combines a quick-play scenario with a pack of planets, ships and other bits that you can drop into your campaign. The scenario is written with convention/one-shot play in mind, but could easily be used to kick off a campaign, and with some light customisation could be introduced during an existing campaign.
