The greedy dragon Arkozovar has been extorting local towns, demanding gold as tribute, let they be incinerated. Our heroes have snuck into the dragon’s treasure vault, hoping to reclaim some of the wealth that was stolen from them. Once inside, they’ll have to be careful!

Players must identify the safe passages through the treasure vault, then chart a path that avoids the trapped hallways while optimizing the amount of gold they steal back from the dragon.

Gold Dragon is a classroom game that blends mathematical practice with escape room-style puzzle elements.

To unravel the mystery, participants must gather and interpret clues. One step of this process requires completing a mathematical practice puzzle to construct an important piece of evidence. 

Three "puzzle" documents are available for download. The puzzle format is the same for all three of these documents; they differ only in terms of the mathematics content they contain. Before playing the game, choose one of the puzzle topics.
