Once upon a time, Ray and I played a ttrpg called Microscope. It was an awesome game where you could develop enter histories and civilisations using a couple of prompts. I remember how cool it was, like a microscope, being able to cut finer and finer slices of a universe to get more detail.
I thought it would be cool to work on a similar concept, with an archeological twist to it. Out came Strata. The idea is similar, with players building story on "layers" of prompts.
This 1-page system is bare-bones, but I hope it provides you with some fun ways to explore and build your story! Dig away!
