Basic & Expert Rules The book presents two set of rules; basic which includes all you need to play fantasy battles, with magic, and expert which provides rules for battlefield scenery, deployment, weather, overland movement, and magical items, as well as a mini-setting and army lists, and how to use graph paper for quick battles, to facilitate campaign play. It can also be played as a stand-alone game when all you want to do is to fight some quick battles. In this small-scale battle scenario set between the advance party of the goblin expeditionary force and the human guardsmen, taking place at the temple-village of Ulanbator, you can either play as the human lieutenant Atahan, a fighter from the Bulgan province, or the goblin commander; Merfyn the Cunning from the village of Eoforwic.
