If you buy the ruleset now, you'll have access to all future updates. Right now, as of 6/25/2024 the text only version contains the exact same text content as the Basic Rules, minus the nice layout that the paid version has. The current Basic Rules version covers classless character creation, basic dice procedure and resolution (aka, when and why do you need to roll), and a set of gear mechanics.
