Ghost Squadron is a game about death where players are transformed into ghosts by an experimental brain-scanning procedure. They play digital necromancers who fight in war using duplicates of their bodies made out of rugged metal across desert landscapes and civilian arcologies while dropping from orbit on enemy emplacements to destroy them with fire as they simulate the original's demise, exchanging gunfire at foes or infiltrating private facilities for intel before taking another body home. The game emphasizes self-death through digitalization rather than traditional physical decay, ultimately leading players toward a new form of existence within virtual reality.
