Research is for students learning about their chosen topic through research and studying books, maps, journals (in this case, from 2-5 players), reading magical artifacts and symbols found in Arcanum games as well as the use of a GM to control information flow within the game. This supplement could be played on its own or incorporated into an existing tabletop roleplaying system for greater immersion by adding more layers of detail about the academic history behind different realms, peoples
