The story takes place in an idyllic village that has become home for five young adults after their previous homes were destroyed by a mysterious force known only as "Blea." As the group settles into life, they begin noticing strange occurrences happening around them and gradually discover dark secrets lurking beneath its picturesque exterior. The protagonist is Lizzy (played), an introverted but charismatic individual who has chosen to stay in her old home after moving out of college for a while following the death of one of their friends from cancer, as well as due to personal reasons not discussed further with respect to privacy and confidentiality). Her parents have been supportive until they were recently killed by Blea. Lizzy is struggling between feelings towards living there (to be close/remorseful) or starting fresh somewhere new in a world that has never known the family she had before moving out of town, which could bring about more challenges such as getting to know people again and dealing with emotions from lost loved ones like her parents.
