Rise of Evil is a map drawing game where you play as an evil dungeon master who controls their minions and conquers the surface, all while dealing with underground creatures like dwarves or zombies that may be hidden beneath your feet in forgotten ruins and mines. The goal for each round involves mining squares on the grid to gather resources (hearts & diamonds) which can then trade off against enemies you encounter along the way using playing cards from a deck of 40 different varieties, such as "forgotten ruin" or "mysterious portal." Combat is simple turn-based tactical and allows planning ahead with traps strategically placed around your dungeon's layout. RISE also offers ongoing updates for expansions like hunger farming which adds depth to gameplay even more, challenging players further in ways they may not have expected from such a game of spreadiung evil!
