"Murderhobo with an Arquebus" tells the story of a young man named Murd, who grows up in poverty on
his own street without any prospects for success or advancement. However, he finds solace from
reading books and playing video games which provide him glimpses into other worlds where everything
is possible. The protagonist faces various hardships throughout most of their childhood including
being bullied by older boys at school because they don't have an expensive education like his peers
do in the city-wide schools. Murd eventually starts to attend a secondary free vocational college,
but when he turns 16 years old and must leave highschool for good, many things change forever as
such events are difficult enough during adolescence alone with little or no support from family
members who see their parents struggle every day just getting by themselves (even the father of his
best friend is always looking to get something). Murd's mother also abandons him at age 15 when she
comes back into town after he was born, having lost her job because she had gotten pregnant.
Throughout this difficult and often impoverished time in both their lives where they are left alone
with the world (except for a few supportive family members), there is little guidance or direction
