A Lords of Eternity Campaign Setting
I am designing a campaign and campaign setting for Lords of Eternity. The name of the campaign if Noternus Nights, named after the planet on which Lord of Eternity takes place, Noternus.
I will be releasing the chapters of the campaign approximately monthly. The campaign is going to lead to the Gathering, when all remaining immortals battle to the be the final Champion. The last chapter will pit player against player in a fight to the death.
Each time a chapter is added, I will be raising the price, so the best time to buy it is now.
Below is a bit about the campaign setting. This is a sample. The full document is going to be included with the game and will grow as the campaign chapters unfold.
You can purchase the campaign setting here.
Philosophy
I write adventures as a skeleton and flesh out the meat at the table. As such, don’t expect incredibly detailed adventures. I will be providing scenes, and enemies, and plot, but you won’t be able to read this campaign and have every eventuality covered. That’s not my style at my own table, I couldn’t imagine making it my style at your table. I am including the first chapter free, so you can judge my adventure-writing style for yourself.
Setting
Lords of Eternity is inspired by both He-Man and Highlander. You play ridiculously overpowered characters with fantastic abilities and the chance to steal those abilities from other overpowered immortal characters. The setting is a blend of magic and technology and there is no clear line between the two. You may take out a sphinx with a laser cannon or stab a spaceship with a sword.
Planet
Lords of Eternity takes place on a planet called Noternus. Noternus is largely Earth-like, with some differences. The mountains are taller, the oceans are deeper, and the flora and fauna are more extreme. Dragons are known to take horses for their dinner and the all-seeing Oracle is doing very well on their investments.
