In Aria of Extinction (AOE), players take on roles as Mech pilots fighting against giant monsters called Harbingers that threaten humanity's existence, with half the world being consumed by a catastrophic event known only as "The Event." Players must work together to protect their city and prevent further destruction. The game features player sheets for Pilot characters who control various types of mechs powered up through upgrades in different systems such as an AI-controlled companion or even using another Mech's weapons, forge bonds with other team members including mysterious organizations like the Institute which gives them exclusive resources that can be used to upgrade their own equipment and become more powerful.
