In "The Unfolk," players take on roles of parents and children facing difficult choices about their
future lives with secrets that threaten them both. The goal for adults playing as families trying to
protect young ones in the game is simple - save your kids from certain doom at a government facility
where they will be tested, while still keeping up appearances so you don't lose everything else
because of what's coming next; and then use any means necessary (a "hacking" or even blackmail if
needed) that come to mind as long as it involves money.
The game takes about 10 minutes per
round plus an additional 5-6 rounds for character development, giving the total playtime around 30 -
35 minutes. This is a lighthearted and engaging simulation of what's at stake in real life when
dealing with secrets from your past or future: not just to keep yourself out but also (and
especially) other people like you who might have something that could hurt both families' lives,
which the players must take into account so as they live their own stories.
