Arcology World - Mutual Aid and Community Adaptation (Arcobase) is an interactive fiction game that tells the story of a peaceful community in which members work together towards sustainable living by adapting their way of life to environmental changes. The player takes on the role of either an ordinary citizen or leader trying to make sense out what's going wrong with society, and gradually discovers how simple solutions like "a duck" can be effective for addressing problems such as food scarcity that threaten a community relying mostly on renewable energy sources without resources in abundance. With 25 available starting communities ranging from small villages up-to large urban conglomerates of 1 million people each to choose between, players are given the chance not only learn about new ways but also adapt and change their own lifestyle for better living conditions as they work towards sustainable goals together with community members focused on mutual aid and adaptation.
